Federal Minister for Defence and head of the government's negotiation team, Pervez Khan Khan Khattak has said that decisive round of talks with the leadership of PML-Q is being held today (Monday) while meaningful negotiations with all coalition partners including MQM, BNP-Mengal and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) have already been held and their all concerns have been addressed.

Addressing a party workers' convention at Zara Mina at a private college of district Nowshera, he said that neither our allies are going somewhere nor any vacuum is created with opposition. He said that rumours would be settled down soon.

The defence minister said that an important meeting with PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi is scheduled in Lahore today (Monday) wherein crucial decisions would be taken. He said that all institutions including National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and judiciary are fully independent.

Commenting on the statement of the PML-N stalwart, Khwaja Mohammad Asif that all Leaguers would come out on bail within a period of two weeks, he said that he does not know from where Khwaja Asif is getting such news.

However, he said that they believe in the supremacy of judiciary and will accept its decision. Pervez Khattak said that they respect judiciary and do not believe in the politics of allegations and deals as Prime Minister Imran Khan has always carried out the politics of principles.

He said that some elements in opposition are spreading such rumours, but he is clarifying in unequivocal terms that these people would get nothing. The defence minister said that he is in constant contact with opposition regarding amendments in accountability and other laws and would considered any proposal presented by them.

He said that keeping in view the prevailing national and situation at borders, there is a dire need of national solidarity. He said that the whole nation is on the back of their Kashmiri brethren and the Indian could not maintain its subjugation in occupied Kashmir for long time.

He said that Indian Prime Minister Narindra Modi has become victim of his own trap as all minorities of India have joined hands against the controversial Citizen. Act and cruelty on the Muslims of the occupied Kashmir.

He warned that if Narindra Modi failed in taking the situation seriously would result in the disintegration of India. He expressed gratitude to the people of Nowshera, which he said had always honoured him and his family members and first elect him as Chief Minister and later defence minister.

He said that he is making all out efforts for the removal of the deprivation of the people of district and construction work worth Rs 4 billion is continued on the roads with the cooperation of JICA and Asian Development Bank. The work, he said would complete in June this year.

Similarly, he said that work on the natural and electricity supply scheme is also full swing and Nowshera would soon become the only district whose nook and corner would be supplied with natural gas and electricity. He also announced the construction of a college and pledged the resolution of the problems of farmers on priority basis. He also announced the rehabilitation of 400 acres water-logged agricultural land.
