Crimes can't be finished with public hanging: Ghani
The Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the world had moved forward and in many countries the law of giving death penalty had been abolished.
He said crimes should not be encouraged but there should be punishment of every single crime just like abrogation of Constitution was a heinous crime which was committed by Pervez Musharraf and it was promulgated that he would be hanged in the D Chowk. He was talking to media men during visiting Live Stock Expo-2020 at Hatri bypass Hyderabad today. He said crimes could not be finished by giving punishment publicly and added that punishment should be ensured.
To a question about IG Sindh, the Sindh Education Minister said that first time in the history of Pakistan the matter of changing of IG took so long. He said changing of IG was being made an issue by the federal government. He claimed that IG Sindh was misusing his authority and also challenging Sindh government and giving speeches, there are clear instructions of Sindh government and even federal government that no government officer without prior permission could talk to media. He said the Sindh government was asked to give two names for IG and then federal government again asked for giving two more names, it seems that federal government do not want resolve this matter, he added. He said the federal government was lingering on the change of IG matter with the lamb accuse of consultation.
Talking about the Live Stock Expo, he said first time such a big live stock Expo was organized and almost all the breeds found in Pakistan were exhibited in the Expo.
