On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,138. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.228 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,465.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 950.659 million, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 526.226 million, Crude Oil PKR 486.787 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 474.648 million, Silver PKR 278.326 million, Platinum PKR 153.943 million, DJ PKR 152.490 million, Natural Gas PKR 68.389 million, Copper PKR 51.428 million, SP500 PKR 42.264 million, Palladium PKR 34.354 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 9.314 million. In agriculture commodities 2 lots of soyabean amounting to PKR 13.640 million and one lot of cotton amounting to PKR 0.525 million was traded.
