Orange Team take maiden Sindh Bar Council's T20 Tournament
Orange Team of Hyderabad District Bar Association clinched the first ever T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Sindh Bar Council here on Sunday.
The final match was played between SBC Orange (Hyderabad district) and SBC Green Team (Karachi district). Orange team won the toss and elected to bat. Maintaining a winning average of 8 runs per over, it posted 163 runs in allotted 20 over for the loss of five wickets.
Naeem Baloch player of Orange Team was declared man of the match after scoring half century while Osama emerged as highest wicket taker. In reply Green Team made 123 runs all out in 19th over. Justice Fahim Ahmed Siddiqui and Justice Arshad Hussain also witnessed the final.
Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, senior judge of High Court of Sindh speaking as chief guest on the occasion appreciated efforts by Muhammad Azam Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) for holding a successful event.
"I am surprised and pleased to note the spirit of healthy competition amongst lawyers", Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi said while offering assistance from Sindh High Court to make the event a regular and annual feature.
Azam Khan, the host and initiator of the tournament thanked the lawyers for taking part, interest and supporting the event besides active participation.
This event was aimed at providing a healthy physical activity to the lawyers who other wise have very few moments of leisure and joy, said Azam Khan, Chairman Executive Committee of SBC.-PR
