Anum Tarraqi Party (ATP) Chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah has urged the government to focus on the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and on industrialization to generate maximum employment opportunities and to boost the country's economy.
The ATP chairman, who was addressing a party meeting here on Saturday, also urged the government to take tangible steps to ensure delivery of speedy and easy justice to the masses.
Faiq Shah said the PTI government had failed to deliver on all of its promises as the situation in the country was going from bad to worse. He said price-hike, unemployment and poverty had made the life of the common man miserable.
The ATP chairman said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had not fulfilled his promise of building five million houses.
On the other hand, the promise of 10 million jobs had virtually been changed into a chicken distribution programme which was later followed by cows-buffalos-goats distribution scheme among the poor people, he said. Faiq Shah asked the government to do some practical work and deliver on its promises.
He said his party had been working on its agenda of delivering easy justice to the people at their doorstep through a scheme of free legal aid. Awais Khan, Mansoor Qaiser, Ishtiaq Elahi, Talha Ahmad Chattha and some other office-bearers were also present at the ATP meeting.
