The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will issue new and updated Active Taxpayer List (ATL) midnight February 29, 2020. The FBR would exclude names of all such persons from ATL, who would not file their income tax returns (tax year 2019) till midnight February 29, 2020.
According to an announcement of the FBR here on Friday, the ATL would be updated from year 2018 to 2019 on February 29 midnight. The FBR would exclude names of all such persons from the updated ATL who would not file their returns by February 29.
The FBR's online returns filing status for tax year (2019) revealed on Friday that the FBR has received 2,343,701 income tax returns within the category of individuals; 62,403 association of persons (AOPs) and 40,988 retunes within the category of companies. The FBR has also decided not to further extend last date for filing income tax returns.
