The District Coordination Committee of Administration and parliamentarians have decided that district administration was rapidly implementing development programmes and public welfare schemes, while effective strategies have been adopted to curb crime and maintain law and order situation.
Addressing the DCC meeting, Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali, said that the measures were being taken in a coordinated manner in matters of public welfare and regional construction and development are being progressed at a rapid pace and In this regard, district administration would ensure deep contact with the parliamentarians so that the highest quality of public service could be established by harmonizing the resources available through mutual consultation. He said that concrete steps were being taken to further improve the quality of services of government departments so as to ensure speedy resolution of their problems by providing facilities to the citizens and strict departmental action against the officers who were not resolving the problems of public. He said that the focus was on the quality of the services of the departments as per the expectations of the public and regular monitoring of the performance of all the departments would continue. He said that the development of Faisalabad was one of the priorities and in the process of development the administration accompanies the parliamentarians and their suggestions would also be welcomed.
He asked the members of the Assembly to assist the district administration in proposing regional construction and development projects and solving the problems of the people so that joint efforts could advance the mission of urban development and public welfare. The Divisional Commissioner issued necessary instructions to the officers for immediate resolution of the issues related to certain departments identified by the members of the Assembly.
RPO Raja Rafat Mukhtar said that establishing peace and law & order was a priority for which all available resources are being utilized. He said that effective measurements have been devised to prevent street crime and the deportation of criminals. He assured the solution of the problems presented by the members of the Assembly.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali appraised the Prime Minister Development program, community development program, Punjab municipal services program, provincial annual development program and said that all out sources were being utilized. He gave briefing on pre Ramazan Bazaars arrangements, Price Control mechanism, Anti Polio Campaign results, Clean and Green Program, holding of open Courts and others initiatives of district govt. He said that in addition to close contact with the members of the Assembly, their suggestions and consultations are being welcomed to fulfill the mission of building and developing the district and providing relief to the people.
SSP also gave detailed presentation on law and order situation in the district.
Parliamentarians expressed their satisfaction over the pace of implementation of development programs in the district and said that the timely completion of public welfare schemes was the focus of the policies of the present government and that concerted efforts will successfully support this development agenda. They emphasized on the sustainable completion of development projects and said that mega projects would assist in the acquisition of funds. They applauded the performance of the District Police and said that they should continue to assist in this regard. They stressed the need for further enhancement of the quality of work. They said that buildings by laws should implement and ensure that no building should be constructed without the approval of maps. They also identified some problems related to solving traffic issues and departments of PHED, WAPDA and Sui Gas.
