Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah just after allowing new Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Maher to join his new assignment directed him to improve the law and order situation in the province.
The newly posted IG Police Mushtaq Maher on Monday called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah here at CM House and sought his permission to join his new position. The chief minister officially allowed him on his posting order and gave him necessary directives to improve overall law and order in the province.
The chief minister said that the police have rendered lot of sacrifices in the line of their duties to restore law and order in the province but again the incidents of killing, kidnapping for ransom and such other lawlessness has started emerging. "I want you to make the police force more responsive and alert in curbing the emerging criminal activities, including street crime in the city," he said. Shah assured the new IG Police that his government would be giving him full support in maintenance of law and order.
