KP registeres two more COVID-19 cases
Advisor to KP CM on Information Ajmal Wazir Saturday said that two new cases of Coronovirus have been registered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that raises the toll to 25 in the province. Addressing a press conference here Saturday, he said that the toll of positive cases had reached to 25 while out of 130 suspected, the result of 59 was in negative.
He said efforts have been made to protect each and every person and urged the general public to avoid unnecessary movement and restrict themselves to their houses to support the government in overcoming the outbreak of Coronavirus.
The advisor further said that about five buses of pilgrims hailing from Gilgit-Baltistan have been handed to the administration of Gilgit-Baltistan in fool proofed security. He said that out of 19 suspected cases came from KP and Iran in KP, 15 were positive. Ajmal Wazir said that in the light of the directives of CM Mahmood Khan, the KP government has taken effective and timely steps to combat pandemic and a task headed by the CM has also been constituted.
He said a precautionary measure against the virus, all public and private sector schools have been closed till April 5 while schools, colleges and university level exams have also been postponed and hostels have been vacated. He said that all public gatherings, seminars, sports and cultural events have been banned for a while and the cinema houses have also been shut down temporarily.
