KPT chairman removed

The federal government has removed Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar (Retired) from the post of Chairman Karachi Port Trust with immediate effect. The Established Division, Government of Pakistan has issued notification in this regard on Wednesday.
The notification said "The Federal Government is pleased to remove Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar (retd) from the post of Chairman Karachi Port Trust (KPT) under Ministry of Maritime Affairs, forthwith by modifying/reducing his period of initial appointment in terms of Section 11 of KPT Act, 1886, with immediate effect".
The Federal Government has assigned additional charge of the post of Chairman, Karachi Port Trust to Shakeel Mangnejo (BS-21), Director General, Ports and Shipping, Karachi under Ministry of Maritime Affairs, for a period of three (03) months in terms of Finance Division's O M No. F. 2 (9)-R, dated 18-03-1987, with immediate effect. In this regard, a separate notification has been issued by the Established Division, Government of Pakistan on Wednesday.
