Tested positive: K-P Assembly lawmaker infected with coronavirus

(Karachi) A lawmaker from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been tested positive for coronavirus, media reported on Friday.
According to details, K-P Assembly member Abdul Salam Afridi was diagnosed with coronavirus after a test. He has been put in quarantine at his home.
Abdul Salam Afridi belong to Nayabut Manga area where the first death of coronavirus was reported in the province.
So far, 1,235 people have been infected with the deadly virus across the country. At least 21 people have recovered from the virus while nine patients died of the outbreak.
The total number of cases in Sindh has increased to 421, Punjab 419, Balochistan 131, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 147, Islamabad 27 and Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan 93.
Earlier, Punjab reported 11 more Covid-19 cases, according to provincial health department spokesperson Qaiser Asif.
Asif said that all the patients were being kept in isolation wards, and urged the people to follow precautionary measures to curb the spread of the disease.
Meanwhile, lockdown across the country continues as shopping malls, markets, inter-provincial transport, trains and flight operations remain suspended. The government also imposed ban on congregations in mosques to contain spread of the virus.
