DC & RPO inspect availability & prices of essential items
Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali along with RPO Raja Rafat Mukhtar started inspection of Super Stores and checked the availability, quality and prices of essential items at DC counters. They went to Imtiaz Mart, AlFateh Store, Metro and other stores and checked the weight of different commodities.
They also checked the necessary anti-infective measures in connection with the coronavirus and said that the arrangements should intact for social distance among consumer in the stores.
They warned the administration of mega-stores that strict action should be taken if non-standard items were seen on the counters during checking. They said that price control magistrates were in the field to check the prices of essential commodities thus avoid violating.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali arrived at various mega stores to assess the availability, quality and prices of essential commodities at DC counters. He was accompanied by SSP Operations Syed Ali Raza. Deputy Commissioner went to SB Store, Mecca City Cash & Carey at Narwala road and other stores and checked the quality, prices and weights of essential items on DC counters.
He made it clear that non-standard items should not be seen on counters, otherwise action would not be avoided. The deputy commissioner also checked the presence of sanitizer and other precautions in connection with the anti-coronavirus at the mega-stores and directed that negligence would not be tolerated in this regard.
Later Deputy Commissioner checked the implementation on 144 and checked the pillion riding while the passengers in private cars was also strongly urged to obey the law. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali also visited quarantine center at PARS campus Jhang road and reviewed the arrangements for pilgrims.
