On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,583. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.415 billion and the number of lots traded was 24,607.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.763 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 2.623 billion, Brent crude oil PKR 776.483 million, currencies through COTS PKR 593.790 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 591.973 million, DJ PKR 413.461 million, silver PKR 321.227 million, SP500 PKR 131.282 million, Japan equity PKR 108.168 million, natural gas PKR 56.282 million, platinum PKR 22.403 million and copper PKR 13.938 million.
In agriculture commodities 13 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 12.847 million and 2 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 9.183 million were traded.
