Media briefed on Faisalabad's coronavirus situation
Provincial Minister for Public Prosecution / Focal Person Anti-corona Measures Ch. Zaheeruddin briefed the media at the Commissioner's Office on the situation of coronavirus in the district.
Provincial Minister thanked the media for its positive and lively role in the Crisis situation of coronavirus and said that the efforts of the district administration, police, doctors, journalists, forces in Pakistan in relation to the anti-Coronavirus are well-deserved and we all would be won by a joint effort. He informed that 72 patients were taken to sample once in Faisalabad while 12 of them were taken twice and 2 persons were taken to three times, out of which 67 had came negative from Corona virus while the reports of remaining 5 were awaiting.
The provincial minister said 276 pilgrims are quarantined from Taftan at the PARS Quarantine Center and GCU new campus Jhang road of which 5 visitors have been confirmed by Corona similarly, while the reports of 152 received negatives and 125 pilgrims' report are yet to come. He further informed that the 24 people were quarantine in their houses and the visitors who come to the negatives will also complete the quarantine within 14 days as per SOP. He said that with the special mercy of Allah, despite the weak economy but govt were working together and Insha Allah will defeat this epidemic.
He said that we have to be more careful than ever in terms of precautionary measures. The pace of testing process has been accelerated, he said. The provincial minister said that 70,000 people have received confirmation messages from the Ehsas program across the province and the package announced to the subscribers will be distributed with full honesty.
In response to a question, he said that all the people who come to quarantina are our brother and we cannot leave them alone in this situation. He appealed the citizen through the media, that they should follow precautions and be present in their homes so that they could be protected from coronavirus. Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, CEO Health Dr. Mushtaq Sipra, DHO Dr. Bilal Ahmad, Information Officer Muhammad Awais Abid and other officers were also present in the media briefing.
