Nasir Shah criticises PM for politicizing pandemic problem
Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing & Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said it is extremely regrettable that on one hand the Sindh government is striving to protect its people from the coronavirus, and on the other hand this serious problem is constantly being politicized by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Provincial Minister for Information said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was yet to get out of the politics of container, adding the PM appeared on TV on a daily basis, and through a political statement politicized a serious issue like pandemic of coronavirus.
Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also apologized to Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari because according to him he had forbidden all the party members from making such statements, but he added that, what he should do when the PM was constantly politicizing the serious issue of coronavirus.
He said that all the decisions whether it was about the suspension of the train service or the suspension of the airlines operation or the closure of mosques, came from the federal government, but unfortunately PM Imran Khan did not own any of the decision, which according to him could make a difference.
He said it was a matter of great regret that the PM was doing politics for cheap fame, so that people would praise him and say, 'look, how the Prime Minister was taking so much care of the labourers, daily wagers and the other poor segment of the society'.
Nasir Hussain said, "Has the Prime Minister ever thought that if our people whose immune system is not very strong and may not Allah if they fall victim to the coronavirus in large number, then do our country has so many health facilities to take care of them?, Will we be able to handle all the situation then?, And do we have enough ventilators or other medical equipments and health facilities to treat such a large number of patients?"
The provincial Minister for Information said it was deeply regrettable that on one hand the country was facing such a dangerous pandemic, while on the other, the Sindh government and its chief minister were being mocked.
He said that because the federal government was not capable of handling the situation well, therefore, their ministers were constantly mocking Sindh government and its ministers.-PR
