Suggestions on budget: Punjab government sets up online portal

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the Punjab government has set up a designated online portal for the parliamentarians to submit their suggestions and schemes for the provincial budget 2020-21.

The portal named 'Aap Ki Rai' has been created in order to maintain the social distancing in the wake of COVID-19. The provincial legislators will be issued with a login and password and in the website they can submit their recommendations for the budget.

While chairing a review meeting of provincial budget here on Tuesday, Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bkaht disclosed that the budget preparation was an important component and responsibility of the government and this cannot be completed without the inclusions of the stakeholders, public representatives and elected members of the Assembly.
