Hand-washing, safe-drinking points set up in Hyderabad
To combat risk of the spread of Covid-19 from the crowds, Research and Development Foundation (RDF) in collaboration with district administration, has installed hand-washing and safe-drinking facilities at 20 different locations in Hyderabad, under NCA Pakistan.
Under the Federal government's Ehsaas Program, the beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) are supported with cash grant throughout Pakistan. As the camps, are established in emergency so there is risk of the spread of Covid-19. To control the spread of Covid-19, Research and Development Foundation (RDF), on the advice of Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, installed hand-washing and safe-drinking-water facilities at different locations in Hyderabad. The facility will continue till the last day of camps in Hyderabad, said RDF Executive Director Ashfaque Soomro.
RDF is going to install such camps at Mirpurkhas also, the coordination with Ehsaas Program officials is underway to finalize the locations for Mirpurkhas and estimate the number of beneficiaries to be facilitated with hand-washing and safe-drinking water.
Camps are visited by the officials of Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, RDF and BISP.
