POL price reduction, decision to be announced today
- The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs20.68 per liter and kerosene by Rs44.07 per liter.
How much will the prices of petroleum products be reduced? The decision will be taken today (Thursday), in wake of historic plunge in oil prices at the global markets.
Meanwhile, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs20.68 per liter and kerosene by Rs44.07 per liter.
The prices of petroleum products for May will be announced by the Finance Ministry today after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to sources, OGRA has recommended a reduction in petrol price by Rs 20.68 per liter, high-speed diesel by Rs33.94 per liter, kerosene by Rs44.07 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs24.57 per liter.
After the notification is issued by the Ministry of Finance, the new prices will be applicable from 12 noon.
On the other hand, the Petroleum Division has written a letter to the Oil Companies Advisory Council instructing all oil marketing companies to ensure adequate oil reserves at their depots and pumps.
The Petroleum Division said that more sales of petroleum products are expected in the first week of May. All oil marketing companies and refineries should continue their operations on May 1 as well.
The Oil Companies Advisory has been asked to inform everyone to strictly follow the instructions
