Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz on Monday officially launched "Masks for All" campaign as part of the government's measures to contain the Covid-19.
While talking to media after the launching ceremony, he said under the campaign, Chainstore Association of Pakistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting would distribute five million masks across the length and breadth of the country.
The minister emphasized that challenges posed by the Covid-19 could only be addressed through national unity and concerted efforts.
Earlier, the information minister emphasized the role of information officers. The role of information officers was crucial in spreading awareness about precautionary measures among masses following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, he tweeted.
The minister said he talked to public relations officers of all the ministries through video conferencing, and asked them to play this role proactively.
