The Karachi Bar Association (KBA) has suspended membership of Barrister Murtaza Wahab, a spokesman for the Sindh government, for three months.
The KBA suspended the membership of Barrister Murtaza Wahab for allegedly disturbing the proceedings of a general body meeting of the association, the association announced.
KBA issued a show-cause notice to him for allegedly inciting some members of the bar and disturbing the general body meeting held at the Syed Amir Hyder Shah Shaheed shed here on Thursday.
The KBA accused him of disturbing the entire proceedings of the general body "by provoking 10 to 15 government employees (lawyers) and continuously raising slogans despite repeated requests by the office-bearers and members of the managing committee of the KBA to behave in a proper manner".
"Your reported behavior appears to be unbecoming of an advocate and a gentleman," the KBA said and added that the managing committee of the Karachi Bar Association had decided to suspend the membership of Murtaza Wahab for three months with immediate effect.
