Sadia Rashid, President of Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, has appealed to the nation to offer special prayers on the 27th of Ramazan, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic which has badly affected the socioeconomic structure of the country as well as the world.
She said that this situation is a test for all of us and the only solution lies in seeking the abundance of Allah's mercy and forgiveness, with a promise of trying to be better human beings, and following the instructions of medical professionals, in order to prevent further spread of this disease.
The 27th of Ramazan holds special significance for Pakistani Muslims as it not only marks the day on which the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) received the first verses of the Quran from Allah, but Pakistan was founded on the same date in 1366Hijri.
She said that 27 Ramazan gives us a unique opportunity to attain divine blessings for our country and our world, by praying to Almighty Allah for guidance and wisdom.
