Energetic Naseem Shah looking forward to represent Pakistan in limited-overs
- Shah became the youngest Test bowler to take a fifer and a hat-trick during Test series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh played in Karachi and Rawalpindi.
Pakistan pace sensation Naseem Shah after announcing himself in Test cricket, is keen of making his mark in the limited-overs cricket.
Shah became the youngest Test bowler to take a fifer and a hat-trick during Test series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh played in Karachi and Rawalpindi.
The teenager, while speaking in a podcast by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is eager for an opportunity in One-day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I).
"Test cricket is the toughest format. If you have the required fitness for Tests, then ODI and T20I cricket becomes easier. I am ready to perform in limited-overs cricket like Tests, whenever I'm given an opportunity," said Shah.
Similarly, right-hand batsman Abid Ali, who was awarded Category B for scoring 174 runs in three Tests and 74 runs in an ODI, is aiming for a further promotion after performing in the upcoming season.
"I got a C category contract last year due to my performances in domestic cricket. I am very happy after being promoted to the B category as I performed really well on my debut against Australia and then bagged player of the match award during the Test series against Sri Lanka as well," said Abid.
"Now there is more responsibility on me to work harder on my skills and fitness, and my wish is to get promoted from B category to A category through more performances," he added.
