Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced on Thursday compensation package for families of policemen and health professionals who have passed away from coronavirus.
In a presser, the CM said that the government gives packages to policemen who lay down their lives in the line of duty, adding that a similar package will be approved for doctors as well. He said a proposal in this regard will be tabled before his cabinet.
He further said so far, 364 healthcare professionals have been infected by the virus. "Seven doctors have also passed away due to the virus in Sindh," Shah said.
The CM continued that 274 policemen were infected, out of which 50 have recovered. "Five officials have passed away," he said.
