Ali Zafar to play Shahid Kapoor’s Big Brother

KARACHI: Pakistani singer and heartthrob Ali Zafar and chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor have been selected by director N. Linguswamy to work in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster “Vettai”.

Zafar will play the role of Kapoor’s Bare-Bhai. Before Zafar, South Indian actor Madhavan played the role in the original movie.

According to the media, it was confirmed on Zafar’s official Facebook page, “You heard it right, Zafar and Kapoor will star together in the much talked-about Hindi remake of ‘Vettai’.”

Media sources said that the movie is pure action. The elder brother is a police officer who is sensitive to violence, whereas the younger brother is a jobless rogue.

The film is about how, after the death of their father, the brothers get back at two gangs and protect their families.

The shooting schedules are yet to be announced because currently, Zafar is busy with “Chashme Buddoor”, which is scheduled to be released this August.
