KARACHI: Legendary actor Rajesh Khanna will be back on the silver screen one more time in Ashok Tyagi’s “Riyasat”.
According to media sources, Director and Producer of Riyasat, Tyagi has decided to go ahead with the film. He said that he would need a dubbing artist for Khanna's portions because some segment of the project is incomplete.
Tyagi said, "I wouldn't say Mr. Khanna left my film incomplete. He shot most portions, the ones I wanted. But yes, we were tempted to shoot more. And if his health permitted, we would surely have shot all of it. However, the audience won't realise that portions are missing."
He added, "I will need a dubbing artiste for Mr. Khanna's portions. Few can replicate his inimitable style. But I remember when Sanjeev Kumar passed away before ‘Qatl’ hit the theatres, Sudesh Bhonsle dubbed for the actor. Sudesh is definitely the best we have, when we need anybody's voice. So I shall approach him, or maybe someone else. But I am definitely bringing Mr. Khanna's last work to the big screen for his fans.
Sources added that the veteran actor started shooting for the film about a year back. He is performing the role of an ageing don.
The last time Khanna shot for the movie was around five and a half months ago in Madh Island.
The movie is scheduled to be released a day before Khanna's birthday on December 29.
