KARACHI: Usher has paid final goodbyes to his 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover on August 27, after the child was critically injured in a boating accident on a Georgia lake.
According to media sources, Glover, the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Raymond and her former partner Ryan Glover died from heart failure, two weeks after being left brain dead following a Jet Ski accident.
Sources added that the funeral for Kile Glover was held at Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Usher is said to be depressed by the loss of his stepson, but pop singer's godfather Ben Vereen recently revealed he is "standing strong".
He said, "I'm proud of [him] because he's standing strong. It's a terrible thing when a parent has to bury their child. No parent should ever have to bury his or her child. So please continue your prayers for him and [his] family for strength and healing."
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources says that Glover was run over July 6 by a personal watercraft on Lake Lanier, which is about 40 mile northeast of Atlanta. He suffered a major brain injury.”
