KARACHI: Cameroon Coach Enow Ngachu criticised their South American opponents for being overweight after his team's 5-0 defeat by the Brazilians.
Speaking to the media Ngachu said, “Brazil are the favourites and they have nearly all the best players in the world...but there are other quality teams in this tournament, like North Korea and the USA.”
“Brazil need to improve their defensive system and their players look a bit heavy to me – that might be a problem for them as well,” he added.
Brazilian women coach Jorge Barcellos replied that her team has worked hard on their body fat and they are playing very well.
“I know we are going to play better and better and that’s the only answer everyone needs to know,” she added.
According to media sources, this is not the first time that the dispute occurs. This dispute comes in the wake of several recent games in which female Olympic athletes have been publicly criticized for their body shapes.
