Italian team to dominate Olympic fencing

KARACHI: Italian team celebrated their gold success after winning women's Team Foil fencing.

According to media sources, Italian dream team, which include Valentina Vezzali, Elisa Di Francisca, and Arianna Errigo plus substitute Ilaria Salvatori, have won foil fencing by securing first, second and third position.

The team is being dominating fencing since the start of Olympic Games.  

Vezzali, who succeeded with the sixth gold of her career said, “When there is a problem I want to resolve it.”

“The defeat to Errigo made me determined to go on to the next Games, in Rio,” she added.

Sources added that Vezzali sixth gold made her the first woman in any sport to be a solo champion in four successive Games.

Olympic fencing made Venezuelans crazy over second gold medal, Africa succeeded to achieve first fencing medal and Republic of Korea victoriously won two medals.
