KARACHI: Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif looked perfectly stunning walking the ramp in a classic ivory bridal dress as showstopper for Manish Malhotra's fashion during the Delhi Couture Week 2012.
Bollywood’s most favourite Fashion Designer Malhotra, presented his extravagant, exquisite bridal collection on Day Four of the ongoing Delhi Couture Week.
Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Satish Kaushik, newcomer Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne, Shabana Azmi, Shweta Bachchan Nanda all occupied the front seat to cheer for the designer.
“The show was fantastic and I think this was Manish's best show ever. I think what he presented today was spectacular,” said Johar.
Vidyut Jamwal of Force fame kicked off the show, while Kaif was the showstopper for Malhotra's autumn winter 2012 collection.
Kaif carried the heavily embellished ivory and gold bridal lehenga with élan. When asked if she would like to wear a similar one on her wedding day, the actress said, “I have no idea. As the time changes, you like different things. There was a time when I was very fond of green. This is a muted colour. So you have to take it in relation with when the time comes. I don't know when that time will come.”
However, she won't opt for something too heavy, “I wouldn't be wearing this because it's very heavy. The work on this is very heavy. It has taken many months. It weighs about 10 kilos. But I love Indian clothes. I love the elegance of it.”
Kaif, who was also a moderl, got reflective about her own modeling career, “I always enjoy seeing the models, the clothes on the ramp. It's always fun. When I used to be on the ramp as a model eight years ago, it always used to be in a certain pace. You had 3 seconds to put on your clothes and you're out there, running. It feels very very different.”
