KARACHI: Indian model Leena Kapoor is reportedly getting threatening calls to withdraw case against Pakistani cricket umpire Asad Rauf.
Earlier this week, Kapoor claimed that Rauf, who is married and is father of two kids, was in a relationship with her and had promised to marry her. However, he has now backed off and refused to have any more interaction with her.
Kapoor, who filed a case against Rauf for sexually exploiting her, recently claimed that she is getting threats from unknown persons to withdraw the case.
“Since Tuesday, I received at least 12 calls from two different numbers of Mumbai and Delhi. The unknown person threatened to bump me off if I don't stop pursuing the case. The person claims to be Rauf's friend,” Kapoor said.
Kapoor has informed police about the threats and filed a report.
“Police will soon launch an inquiry and will call Asad to India for further interrogations," she concluded.
