wheatHAMBURG: The Taiwan Flour Millers' Association has purchased 50,550 tonnes of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States in a tender for the same volume which closed on Friday, European traders said.

The seller was said to be Toepfer International.

The tender sought shipment in a single consignment between Nov. 10-Nov. 24 from the US Pacific North West.

Traders said the purchase comprised dark northern spring wheat bought at $405.46 a tonne c&f and hard red winter wheat bought at $397.74 a tonne c&f.

In its previous tender on Sept. 4, the association had purchased 55,200 tonnes of US milling wheat.
