ISLAMABAD: Renowned novelist Razia Butt passed away after a prolonged illness, the media reported on Thursday.
President Asif Ali Zardari, in his condolence message, praised the late Razia Butt for her literary contributions, which, he said, had enriched the literary heritage.
He said Razia Butt had a unique style of writing that endeared her to many. The vacuum created by her sad demise would take a long time to be filled, he added.
The President prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and to give courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with magnanimity and fortitude.
