Ashutosh Gowariker’s next venture to be based on Moen Jo Daro, Harappa

KARACHI: Bollywood director, actor, writer and producer Ashutosh Gowariker, who has directed popular historical movies like “Jodhaa Akber” and “Lagaan”, is set for his next film.
Like his previous genre of films, the director is going to make another historical venture, which will be based on the Moen Jo Daro and Harappa ruins of the Indus Valley Civilization.
According to the Indian media, the film will be a love story with a big cast that is yet to be finalized and the film be will be made on a large scale with a grand budget.
However, Gowariker had previously directed films like “Pehla Nasha” (1993), “Baazi” (1995), “Lagaan” (2001), “Swades” (2004), “Jodhaa Akbar” (2008), “What’s Your Raashee?” (2009) and “Khelain Hum Jee Jaan Sey” (2010).
Gowariker was nominated for an Academy Award and European Film Award. He has also won a number of other awards, including the National Film Award, five Filmfare Awards, and seven international film festival awards.
