KARACHI: Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse who was involved in the hoax call at the King Edward VII hospital, left three notes before committing suicide.
Saldanha transferred the call to the nurse of the Duchess of Cambridge in which Australian radio show hosts pretended to be members of the Royal family to gather information on the Duchess’ health. Both the nurses fell for the joke and the Duchess’ nurse gave away confidential information.
Saldana hanged herself in the nurse’s quarter, and was later discovered by her colleague and a security official. Three notes were found and sources reveal one deals with the hoax call, second talks about funeral requests and the third is criticism of the hospital staff.
According to a spokesperson for the King Edward VII hospital, the senior management was not aware of the content in the notes and the management supported the nurses after the incident took place.
