ISLAMABAD: At a time when country is facing acute power shortage, extra lighting at commercial plazas, hotels and fuel stations goes unchecked, thus aggravating the problem.
The loadshedding has already affected life of common man which is somehow unavoidable due to current power crisis being faced by the country.
Talking to APP on Saturday, Musarrat a lecturer at a federal college said, at a time when academic year is about to end and final exams expected after two months, the loadshedding needs to be checked to ensure relief for students.
He said there is an urgent need to focus on ways to save electricity, she added.
Rehana Asad, a house wife said that in the morning when her children and husband are in a hurry to leave for their destination, the loadshedding disturbs their routine.
Nasir Ahmed, an employee of a private telecommunication office said that no action has been taken against the illumination at shopping plazas and fuel station.
"Shortage of this basic necessity of life could be addressed if the available resources are managed properly", he added.
Ishaq Rashid who works at Zero Point said that mushroom growth of Compressed Natural Gas stations has increased the competition to attract customers by installing big sign boards and illumination.
