KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday alleged that MQM founder Altaf Hussain trying to remain alive through his most favourite game 'terrorism', on the socio-political discourse of the country.
Addressing at a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC), flanked by party President Anis Kaim Khani and central leaders, PSP chairman said that three factors are primarily providing oxygen to keep alive the fast-collapsing evil-legacy of Altaf Hussain. First thing is MQM Pakistan was made with Altaf Hussain's party symbol and flag. Some elements are actually trying to become heroes in front of Altaf Hussain giving him a false impression that they have protected the party from a total collapse.
The second important factor which is keeping Altaf Hussain alive is that Karachi was placed in the lap of PTI. We were winning on the day of the general election 2018, however, the results disappeared from the Television screens, and later the PTI won.
Dramatically, the winners remain asleep in their homes, and the path of real public representatives was blocked in the last election.
The third factor is the PPP's biased government which is not even giving the urban areas their legitimate constitutional rights.
Altaf Hussain is benefiting from the PPP's bias attitude towards the urban Sindh. There is no water and electricity in Karachi and garbage is littered across the city. Karachiites are deprived of government jobs. We never accepted the election results, but still remained silent in the best interest of the country.
Our silence, PTI's incompetence, and PPP's biasness provided a lifeline to Altaf Hussain.
Despite all these grim circumstances, he said, "I would like to say that as long as PSP is there, it shall not allow Altaf Hussain's terrorism to succeed at any cost."
Commenting on the verdict in the Dr Imran Farooq murder case, Kamal said that he had been silent since the verdict came because he wanted to see if the representatives of the so-called Muhajir community would admit their wrongdoings, but to no avail. "Ten years after the incident, and considering all the evidence, according to the verdict of the court, Altaf Hussain ordered the assassination of MQM convener Imran Farooq," Kamal alleged.
Imran Farooq murder case was not investigated by Pakistani intelligence agencies but by the British agency Scotland Yard, after which no one can allege that the decision was made on the basis of any prejudice against Altaf Hussain.
Kamal asked Muhajir community, haven't I told you that Altaf Hussain and MQM had mortgaged your children?
No individual in MQM can become a stalwart as Dr Imran Farooq. If Altaf Hussain can give orders to murder a great leader like Imran Farooq, then to Altaf Hussain no life of any worker matters. The killers in the Imran Farooq murder case and their families were destroyed. The killers of Imran Farooq were not born as murderers from their mother's womb.
Think about those mothers and sisters when pictures of their sons and brothers circulates in media as barbaric murderers. Will Altaf Hussain adopt the children of these killers? Altaf Hussain has destroyed generations after generation. "We rebelled against Altaf Hussain because we came to realise these facts," he said.
Imran Farooq murder case will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of a handful of people who are still misleading the nation. Now father of Muhajir community has become architect of Sindhu Desh.
Altaf Hussain only needs blood because RAW provides him money only to shed blood. Time has proved all of our points true.
Kamal blamed Altaf Hussain and Sindh separatist Shafi Burfat group for carrying out terrorist attacks in Sindh again. Rangers were attacked in four different cities including Karachi in one day.
After the 18th amendment, all the resources are with the provinces. If you want to get freedom from someone, take it from the corrupt rulers and not from the state.
He said PFC award is not being announced after the NFC award. Until the powers are devolved to the lowest level, the provinces will not be independent.
PM Imran Khan says the solution to Karachi's problems is an empowered mayor who is directly elected. Has he brought such system in the provinces where PTI provincial governments exist? Has the mayor of Lahore and Peshawar been directly elected? There are contradictions in the words and actions of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The federal and provincial governments have not come up with a single new project for Karachi.
Karachi pays 70 percent of its revenue to the federation and 90 percent to Sindh province.
People like Altaf Hussain and Shafi Burfat are benefiting from PPP's bias and PTI's incompetence.
Federal and provincial governments are turning people into terrorists with wrong decisions. When these factors are eliminated, Karachi and the country's problems will be resolved.
He said that the situation in different districts of Sindh was also dilapidated.
Kids are dying of dog bites in Larkana, children are dying of hunger everyday in Thar.
He said subsidy given to K-Electric has been halved, which means the electricity bills will increase by 20 percent from next month. Karachi businesses are being destroyed deliberately.
"The coronavirus is spreading fast, we may have to set up quarantine centres in every UC, the rulers will not do anything because they are not yet able to tell whether the lockdown is smart or ugly and difference between curfew and lockdown.
