PM to be presented with PIA plane crash report today
- The plane crash occurred on May 22 and killed 97 passengers.
Exactly a month today after a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crashed in Karachi killing 97 passengers, the investigation report will be presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On May 22, PK-8303 crashed in Karachi’s Model Colony minutes before landing and killed 97 passengers. Only two survived the crash.
Following the crash on May 22, Airbus experts were called from France to Karachi to investigate the incident. After the investigation, the team returned to France to decode the voice recorder and flight data box.
Cockpit voice recorder of PIA PK-8303 found from crash site
Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar said the provisional investigation report will be put before the cabinet and public on June 22 (today).
The report includes the pilot’s conversation with the air traffic controller, flight data records, CCTV footage of the landing and the cockpit voice recorder data.
