LAHORE: The shortage of petrol has further increased in various cities of Punjab. Citizens were out crying in search of petrol from pillar to post.

According to details, Petrol is scarce at most of the 220 petrol pumps owned by private companies in Lahore while, the pump owners of Faisalabad have completely shut down most of the petrol pumps on the pretext of not getting supply and there is still a shortage of petrol in Kasur.

However, petrol is available at the pumps of state-owned oil companies and long queues of citizens can be seen at the pumps where petrol is available.

Citizens are worried about the shortage of petrol, cheap oil has become a nuisance for the people as after the reduction in rates from June 1 the citizens are scrambling to get petrol.

Citizens say that people are being humiliated due to incompetence of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) and Prime Minister Imran Khan should take notice of the matter.
