Chelsea eye major overhauling in the squad
English Premier League giant Chelsea are planning for major overhauling in the squad in the upcoming transfer window by offloading at least six players.
Due to the planned move, the Blues are aiming to target Bundesliga stars —RB Leipzig’s forward Timo Werner and Bayer Leverkusen’s midfielder Kai Havertz.
As per The Sun, Chelsea are now looking to offload as many as six players – midfielders Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater, full-backs Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, winger Victor Moses and striker Michy Batshuayi – in the upcoming transfer window in order to make room for the new arrivals.
Out of above-mentioned players, four—Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta and Moses—are currently spending loan spells with French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, league rivals Aston Villa and Italian Serie A clubs AS Roma and Inter Milan.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, it is looking very unlikely that Chelsea will receive a big offer for any of these players.
