ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet is likely to grant approval to allocation of funds for media campaigns on the Covid-19 on the request of Information and Broadcasting, and the government's cash support for the PIAC mark-up.
A meeting to be presided over by the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, on Wednesday, is also likely to grant approval to technical supplementary grant in favour of the Pakistan Academy for Rural Development (PARD) Peshawar for the current year 2019-2020.
The meeting would also consider a request for technical supplementary grant (TSG) of Rs1,300 million for current budget 2019-2020 of the PAEC under demand No 16 and technical supplementary grant amounting to Rs235 million Pakistan Rangers for the period from July, 2019 to June, 2020.
The ECC will also take up the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) agenda with regard to provision of funds amounting to Rs100 million for the NDMA for combating locust outbreak in Punjab through surrender order issued by the government of the Punjab in favour of the NDMA during current fiscal year 2019-2020, the meeting would also take up the NDMA proposal for ex-post facto approval of US$50 million equivalent to Rs7,947,710,000 on account of Pakistan National Emergency Preparedness and Response for COVID-19, procurement of equipment and transfer of funds.
The meeting would also take up the agenda of the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) pertaining to the request for approval of book value adjustment of overdue amount of loans and conversion of loans into federal government loans.
The meeting will also consider a proposal of Aviation Division, government cash support for Pakistan International Airlines mark-up.
