Budget 2020-21: Balochistan budget to be presented today
- As per details, the total outlay of the budget is estimated at Rs410 billion, under which it is proposed to allocate Rs305 billion for non-development expenditure and Rs105 billion for development budget.
Provincial Finance Minister Balochistan Mir Zahoor Baledi will present the budget of Balochistan for the next financial year 2020-21 in the assembly today (Saturday) at 4:00 pm.
As per details, the total outlay of the budget is estimated at Rs410 billion, under which it is proposed to allocate Rs305 billion for non-development expenditure and Rs105 billion for development budget.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Rs55 billion is proposed to be allocated for the health sector in the budget for the next financial year 2020-21, including Rs12 billion for a three-year plan on the pandemic.
The provincial budget proposes to set aside Rs75 billion for education, Rs50 billion for law and order, and Rs30 billion for pensions.
The budget also includes a special plan of the Chief Minister of Balochistan to provide loans to 500,000 to 600,000youth on easy terms for business.
