tahir-ul-qadri-long-marchKARACHI: Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran (TMQ) leader Dr. Tahi-rul-Qadri on Tuesday said that he had delivered half his speech with the remaining half to be delivered on Wednesday when the job would be complete, as the Long March continued for the third day, with the TMQ chief calling on the government to quit after the Supreme Court ordered the arrest of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the rental power graft case.

 

He began delivering his address to the thousands who spent the night in the cold weather for the sit-in following the Long March on Wednesday.

Qadri says political leaders are shameless individuals. Says PEMRA should reopen all channels, adding, politicians are running away, adding further, democracy does not mean that channels go off air, that is authoritarianism.

Qadri talks about Supreme Court’s order of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and 16 others' arrest over corruption in Rental Power Projects (RPPs) in 2010. 


Denounces allegations of a conspiracy in yesterday’s unexpected turn of events, criticises individuals who brought Supreme Court’s intentions under question.

 

Says those tying in the Supreme Court’s orders with the sit-in, had evil intentions, adding, they should be ashamed of their intentions.
