KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said the double standards in local bodies of Sindh province are unacceptable, the media reported on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference of the Sindh Unity Party (SUP) in Halla today, he said, "Ballot papers have to be stamped with the correct choice to put the country on a better path."
Speaking further, he said, justice and rights should be equal for everyone in the Sindh.
"We went through a lot of struggle for the independence of the judiciary," he said.
Refering to the Tehreek-e-Minhajul-Quran (TMQ) chief Tahir-ul-Qadri's Long March toward Islamabad, he said, "We won't let anyone hold 180 million hostage."
Sharif said division of Sindh will not be accepted, adding, local bodies ordinance was introduced to divide the Sindh province.
Talking to the media earlier, after a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) led by Pir Pagara Pir Sibghatullah called on him at his residence, he said his party seeks an end to power outages, poverty and illiteracy in the country.
