UAE authorities arrest Tauqir Sadiq in Abu Dhabi

KARACHI: Former chairman Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Tauqir Sadiq has been arrested in Abu Dhabi, the media reported on Tuesday.

According to sources, he will be handed over to the Pakistani embassy there and then deported to Pakistan on Wednesday.

Sadiq, who is wanted for Rs80 billion loss to the national exchequer was arrested in Abu Dhabi by local authorities.

It may be mentioned that the former chairman OGRA has been arrested on the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
