Struggle to continue: Qadri

LAHORE: Tehrik Minhajul Quran chief Dr Muhammad Tahirul Qadri said on Monday that his struggle would continue.

Addressing a press conference at Model Town Secretariat, he said all governments had violated the Constitution for 65 years. "Implementation of Article 3 and 38 of the Constitution is also in our agenda," he added.

Qadri said "I believe that army do not want martial law in the country and people should come out from their homes to implement real democracy, law and the Constitution".

He announced to hold revolutionary marches in Gujranwala on February 15, Faisalabad- February 17, Multan - February 22, Peshawar - February 24, Sukkur- March 1 and Rawalpindi on March 10.

He said now people had been made aware of the Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution and they should struggle against corrupt elements.

He said it was a challenge of the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) that no one could stage a bigger sit-in and long march than his party.
