JOHANNESBURG: South Africa's leading indices hit record highs in early trade on Monday before pulling back slightly after two straight sessions of gains.
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange's Top-40 index inched down 0.1 percent at 36,437.59, after setting a record of 36,512.95. The broader All-share index turned flat at 40,871.60 after hitting a lifetime high of 40,927.25.
