PPP-led govt committed to hold election on time: Chandio
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Political Affairs Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Wednesday said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and its ally parties were committed to hold elections on time.
Talking to a private television channel, he said that the elections would be held on time in free, fair and transparent manners under the banner of independent Election Commission.
He said that all stakeholders would be taken on board for making interim set-up, adding that today the whole nation had shown confidence on the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
The minister said that PPP led government succeeded to strengthen democracy in the country and opposition had also played its positive role in this regard.
Replying to a question about Qadri's Petition, he said that when Tahir ul Qadri came Pakistan, he focused on Supreme Court and claimed to accept every decision of Supreme Court. Now he is criticizing the Apex Court after verdict of the Supreme Court against him.
