Light rain, snow likely at isolated places across country
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday forecast light rain (with snow over hilly areas) for isolated places of Northeast Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper and Central Punjab, Sukkar division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.
Mainly cold and cloudy weather is expected in most parts of Punjab and Islamabad. However, light rain (with light snowfall over the hills) is likely at isolated places Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Multan Divisions during next 24 hours.
According to the synoptic situation, a fresh western disturbance is affecting Upper and Central parts of the country and likely to persist during next 36 hours.
Light rain (with snowfall over the hills) is likely at isolated places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during next 24 hrs.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh, however, light rain is likely in Sukkur division during next 24 hours.
In Balochistan, mainly cold and cloudy weather is expected in most parts ,however, light rain-snow is likely at isolated places of North Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi and Kalat divisions during next 24 hrs.
Mostly cloudy weather conditions with chances of light rain-snow at isolated places of Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during next 24 hours.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours was Parachinar -09C, Gupis -04C, Malamjabba, Astore, Skardu -03C, Drosh, Kalam and Dir -02C.
The rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Kalat 04mm, Quetta, Parachinar 03, Bhakkar, Zhob, Dalbandin 02, D.I Khan 01 mm.
