GILGIT: Despite repeated promises, the Water and Power Department could not end the long duration loadshedding as residents decried.
With only Three hours electricity the whole day has crippled routine life.
"Though extreme weather conditions have improved but loadshedding remains", said Abdul Latif, a city resident.
Hospitals, private offices, colleges and cottage industry are worst hit by loadshedding.

The WAPDA authorities said due to shortage of funds, the generators could not be made operational.
