Strike observed in Nawabshah to mourn Karachi blast victims

NAWABSHAH: A complete strike was observed in Nawabshah and other towns, villages of the district on Monday to mourn the killings in Sunday's blasts in Abbas Town Karachi.

Main markets, bazars, shopping centres, medical stores, schools and shops selling items of daily use remain closed.

Passenger transport plying between Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Karachi, Moro, Sukkur and other destinations remained off the road. Traffic on National highway remained thin while people of the grieved community blocked National Highway at Daulatpur Bypass.

Due to sit-in the traffic remained blocked between Punjab and Sindh and long queues were seen at this site.

On the other hand situation remained peaceful and no untoward report was received from any part of the district.
